Dear Medford Lakes Colony Camper Parents/Guardian,

This is a reminder that the first day of camp is Monday, July 5th. We are all looking forward to creating a healthy and safe environment for the campers and staff. As per the Burlington County Health Department and NJ Youth Camp Safety Standards and COVID -19 Standards, all participants in camp whether staff or campers need to be aware of the signs and symptoms of COVID - 19, the precautions used to prevent it and what the measures are to control an infection.

Recommendations of the Burlington County Health Department:

  1. Get vaccinated against COVID - 19 (please provide a copy of vaccination to the Medford Lakes Colony Office)

  2. Complete a daily COVID - 19 sign and symptom surveillance form (this form will be sent out via email each morning for campers and staff to complete)

  3. Know the signs and symptoms of COVID - 19 (fever, chills/sweats, new cough, new loss of smell or taste, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches, nausea, sore throat, headache, congestion or runny nose)

  4. Know and abide by the measures used to prevent the spread of COVID - 19 (use of a mask indoors, social distancing of 6 feet, use of cohort groups, washing hands properly, disinfect frequently touched surfaces, ventilation of indoor facilities, and cough etiquette).

  5. Isolate person suspected of COVID - 19

  6. Quarantine person who has been in close contact with a positive case of COVID - 19

  7. Communicate with the local health department any positive cases of COVID - 19

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. We are looking forward to a safe and healthy camp session this year.

NJ State Code requires Youth Camps, like the MLC Summer Camp, to have every registered camper’s immunization record on file.

The NJ Health Department also allows us to accept valid medical and religious exemptions.

At your earliest convenience, if you have not done so already, please drop off, fax, email, or mail a current copy of your camper’s immunization records to the Colony Office – thank you for helping us be compliant!
